Our First Vanilla Sand Morning by the Tagus
This past Saturday, September 13th, we hosted our very first Vanilla Sand event by the Tagus River in Lisbon.
We met in the park first thing in the morning. It was one of those calm, bright mornings where the light feels soft and the river looks almost silver. Everyone arrived slowly, rolling out mats on the grass, saying quick hellos, and settling into the space. It felt relaxed from the start, no rush, no pressure, just a small group coming together outdoors.
We handed out our Sunshine Tank Tops before class, which was really special to see. One by one, everyone changed into them, and suddenly the group felt connected in a simple, visual way. It set the tone for the morning.
Luciana then led the yoga class. It was slow, grounding, and perfect for the setting. You could hear the river, a bit of wind in the trees, and the occasional boat passing by. Everyone moved at their own pace—stretching, breathing, waking up their bodies in the sun. It felt easy and natural, like the kind of morning you wish every weekend could start with.
After the class, no one rushed off. We all stayed on the grass, chatting, laughing, and getting to know each other. Some people lay back in the sun, others looked through the Vanilla Sand pieces we’d brought along. It turned into a really simple, relaxed hangout—just good conversations, warm light, and that slow Saturday energy.
As a first event, it felt like the perfect start. We got to meet so many lovely people, move together outdoors, and share what Vanilla Sand is about in a really natural way.
We’re already looking forward to the next one!
